Sweeping principles of our sweepers

Our sweepers clean using different sweeping principles. Depending on what type of surfaces you want to clean or what type of dirt you want to pick up, a different sweeping principle is recommended. To help you decide on the right sweeper, below is a summary of sweeping principles:

1. Single roller dustpan system

A sweeping roller located at the rear in the direction of travel rotates against the direction of travel of the sweeper when it moves forward. When driving over dirt, it must pass under a rubber lip. This is then swept into the dirt container at the front like a kind of dustpan. Due to the need to attach a support wheel to the front of the sweeper, it always runs in the unswept area. Larger dirt particles can therefore affect the running of the sweeper. In addition, the size of the dirt that can be picked up is very limited. Another problem area is the dustpan-like slope over which the dirt is swept up. This must not exceed a certain distance from the ground so that the dirt still gets into the sweeper container. In addition, the rubber lip on the sweeper prevents the collection of lighter dirt particles such as paper or dry leaves. The single-roller dustpan system is cost-effective. If the problem areas mentioned do not apply to your business, then this system is ideal for you!

2. Single roller throw system

The further development of the single-roller dustpan system is the single-roller throw-over system. This is primarily used for larger sweepers. The brush roller at the front, rotating clockwise in the direction of travel, sweeps rubbish overhead into the dirt container at the rear after passing the rubber lip. This fills it from above and increases the usable volume. However, this single-roller throw system also has its problem areas. With this sweeping principle, a rubber apron is also required to prevent the rubbish from being thrown out, which means that lighter parts are just pushed around and not picked up by the sweeper. If you want to clean larger areas and at the same time benefit from a good price/performance ratio, choose a sweeper with a single-roller throw system!

3. Tandem roller system (TWS)

The TWS is the most innovative system and the functionality is future-oriented. The two roller brushes rotate, with the front roller brush working purely as a transport roller and therefore rotating in the air without contact with the ground. This means that wear and the effort required during use remain low. The waste that has overflowed the front brush is passed to each other by both rollers and transported upwards.

The dirt thrown upwards by the interaction of the rollers is directed backwards by a precisely defined guide plate above the roller intersection. This ends up in the dirt container overhead.

One or two side brooms support the work of the roller brushes by sweeping debris from corners and edges in front of the roller brushes, which then pick it up. You can retrofit side brushes and other optional accessories at any time.

No problem areas with the TWS

All sweepings that fit under the core of the brush rollers are picked up. The flexibility of the bristles allows objects up to the size of a bottle to be picked up, even with hand sweepers. Fine dust and sand are also safely absorbed. With the tandem roller system, no dust container at the front blocks and it is cleaned effectively. Thanks to the absence of a rubber lip, even lighter and bulkier objects can be picked up with the sweeper. The slight vacuum created between the roller brushes also picks up very problematic debris, such as paper lying flat on the floor.

The dirt container is filled from above and the volume is ideally utilized. A height-adjustable brush roller ensures that wear and tear can also be compensated for. In the case of uneven ground, the necessary depth effect of the roller brush is retained.

For regular use on medium to large areas, a sweeper with TWS is our recommendation! Even if it's a little more expensive than that
