Gas, electric or diesel forklift - the choice is yours
Electric forklift:
The compact three-wheel models in the HL3ES series are ideal for use in confined spaces. With an aisle width of less than 3.2 m, you can easily work in narrow aisles. Despite their compact size, the trucks are still characterized by robustness and are particularly well suited for enclosed halls, as they are completely emission-free on the road. The electric four-wheel models of the HLES series can be ordered with load capacities of up to 16.0 t. Just like the tricycle models, the 4-wheel forklifts are also very well suited for enclosed warehouses, but know how to perform just as well outdoors. All electric forklifts are equipped with modern AC three-phase AC technology, which is wear-resistant and requires little maintenance. Electric forklifts also stand out for their relatively low operating costs and quiet operation.
Diesel and LPG forklifts:
Forklifts with powerful diesel engines are mostly used in large companies, as they have an even higher turnover than the electric forklifts and you can refuel them very quickly if the tank should ever be empty. Models with diesel engines from the HLDS series and models with propellant gas drive from the HLGS series, are designed for outdoor use or combined outdoor and indoor use. For this purpose, special filters have been installed to allow safe use in warehouses. Nevertheless, care must be taken to ensure good ventilation so that personnel are well protected against exhaust fumes. We offer diesel forklifts up to a load capacity of 10.0 t and LPG forklifts up to 7.0 t.
All-terrain forklifts:
HLRT series forklifts are suitable for use on rough terrain. They have powerful brakes and extra-large tires that can cope with almost any surface outside. They can carry up to 5.0 tons.
Reach trucks:
If you need to lift pallets extra high, there's no model better suited for the job than a reach truck. They feature a triplex mast with an impressive lift height of up to 12.5 m. A forklift truck is an industrial truck with three or four wheels, which is mainly used for transporting goods and commodities. Forklifts have both their own drive, travel and lift motor, so that the physical effort of the operator is minimized. The main feature of the forklift is the fork carriage, consisting of two forks. This allows pallets and other goods to be picked up, lifted and transported.
Forklifts are used almost everywhere where goods have to be transported and handled. Especially in the food, industrial and logistics sectors, forklifts have become indispensable. Forklifts are used both indoors, i.e. in halls and warehouses, and outdoors. Depending on the place of use, it is important to choose the right type of drive.
In addition to the "standard" forklifts, also called front stackers, there are three other types of forklifts. 3-wheel forklifts, as the name implies, have three wheels, which makes them very maneuverable and flexible. Reach trucks are equipped with a reach boom, which can move the mast forward and backward to pick up loads. These trucks are especially suitable in narrow warehouses and aisles. There are also all-terrain forklifts with extra-large pneumatic tires and various all-wheel gears. These are best suited for outdoor use and difficult terrain.
There are basically two drive types for forklifts, electric motors and combustion engines. Electric motors are powered by a rechargeable battery. In the case of combustion engines, a further distinction is made between diesel engines and gas engines (propellant gas engines). Forklifts are therefore powered by electricity, diesel or gas, depending on the engine.
The lifting capacity of a forklift depends on the type of forklift and the type of drive. The smallest forklifts start at 1.5 t lifting capacity, while the largest ones can lift up to 16 t. For each forklift truck from HanseLifter, the lifting capacity is specified in the technical data.
Just like the lifting capacity, the lifting height of forklifts depends on the type of forklift. With many forklifts you can choose your mast variant with up to 7 m yourself. Reach trucks even reach up to 12.5 m lifting height.
For indoor use, forklifts with electric motors are always the first choice. Depending on the type of warehouse, gas forklifts can also be used indoors. In most cases, diesel forklifts are not suitable for indoor use due to their emissions.
Forklifts with combustion engines are best suited for outdoor use. These are less susceptible to dust and dirt than electric engines. In addition, electric forklifts offer less ground clearance. All-terrain forklifts are the first choice for tough off-road use.
